Buildings

These small objects resume the topic of massive individual buildings. In contrast to the painted sceneries – vedutas – the sculptures do not refer directly to an existing building: They are more a product of the imagination thus a quintessence or summary of distant memories. It resulted a series of small, rough, simplified prototypes of buildings.

The sculptures are burnt and glazed and then covered with grass, typically used for model railroads. As stand serves leftovers of construction timber I found in the waste.
