Radius Basel

Individual, massive functional buildings, warehouses, silos, industrial chimneys – we see them looming in the sky from far away or carelessly we pass by their solid facades. I’m ranging the region by bike to find exactly those buildings. Once that I found the right spot, I paint directly at the place with brush and easel. I’m particularly interested in Individual and massive functional buildings and how they are embedded in their surroundings. Through the central positioning and the focus on the subject the paintings get a portrait-like appearance.
