From above

While browsing through Google Earth for some interesting buildings to paint, I found those computed, three-dimensional views of buildings that seemed broken and distorted. I printed out screenshots of those views and started a fresh interpretation of the image material by painting and drawing directly on it. Through this method pictorial spaces begin to tilt and the buildings seem to be part of a surreal and magical alternative world. This is further intensified by fantastical work titles.
The coordinates printed on the passe-partout locate the screenshot in Google Earth and thus embed the paintings in our real world.
